The hot spring and environment. Great and very fairytale like with snow around!! The bed is a bit small but the quad room we stayed was a great room and one of the most well designed rooms that make used of space in all the hotels I ever stayed in Japan and ap regions. Will definitely go back there again!!!

It locates up to the hill you may find some snow even there is not snow in Shirakawago village
They do not have the double bed to provide and the twin bed is so small and hard. The location is up to the hill and we have to prepare time to get back to hotel it is too dark for driving . The dinner is French set and we do not like it

Spending our Xmas break at this charming mountain retreat was the highlight of our Japan trip. The snowy setting provided picturesque views of the valley below. The restaurant offered a delicious French half-board menu with dishes served promptly and a well-stocked wine list. The indoor and outdoor onsen was a perfect way to warm up after a day in the snow. Plus, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Although the location was scenic and beautiful, it was a bit far from the main attractions in the area. there weren't many options for evening entertainment, but that didn't bother us as we enjoyed the peaceful ambiance of the hotel.

Nestled in the midst of the forest, this hotel is a great retreat. the snow-covered ground and free forest walk adds to the charm. the private onsen is the perfect spot to soak under the stars and moon. Staff is friendly, and the French-style meal is delicious.
Navigating around the hotel is difficult due to the lack of signages, and the service can be a little slow.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The hotel facilities were impressive with a spacious resort and an on-site hot spring that was both indoor and outdoor. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we enjoyed the option of upgrading to a half-board option that included a tasty dinner and breakfast. The location was perfect for us, tucked away in the mountains with plenty of nature trails and snow walk tours to explore.
Nothing it was perfect.

Stayed here for Easter and had a great time! The surroundings were beautiful with plenty of nature trails to explore and an outdoor hot spring bath that was just dreamy. The hotel offers a half-board option which was fantastic since there weren't many food options nearby. The French-Japanese fusion restaurant was superb and definitely the best dining experience of our trip. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were cozy and clean.
The limited and unreliable wifi, which was only available in the lounge areas. It was a bit frustrating not being able to stay connected with the rest of the world. However, we managed to disconnect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
